Club Details

Located close to Burnham on Crouch in Essex, the club provides excellent launching facilities on the River Crouch, away from the mass of moorings off Burnham. Established in 1957 the club is affiliated to the RYA and has an interesting history.

With a boathouse , changing area with toilets and showers. All are hidden from the river, the club is definitely low profile but attracts a keen band of members. Most local sailors will recognize the starting hut adjacent to the slipway.

This Clubs safety RIB is available to support sailors, with launching at any state of the tide, what more can you ask for, other than good winds and sunshine to enjoy the best the river has to offer.

The club provides racing for all classes dinghies (we regularly have at least seven boats racing out of a fleet of approximately 18!!) and has an active cruising membership.

Handicap racing is also welcome with a separate start on Sundays.

Any prospective member is welcome to visit the club (more people are around at the weekend) or you may alternatively contact any of the members listed on the contacts page.

Please note that the club has sole launching rights over the ramp and public use is not allowed. Motor vessels may not be launched with the exception of tenders and where used as auxiliary engines.

Join our Facebook page for chat and day to day events. Please feel free to ask any questions about membership etc.
